The Grand American Touring family is the most popular touring motorcycle series in North America, and one of Harley-Davidson®’s flagship models is the Road Glide®. This model sets the standard for modern long-distance touring. It delivers everything the average rider wants from a tourer without being a full dresser, and it still provides plenty of room for enhancements and individual expression. The standard Road Glide® is the most affordable option and tailored to the average consumer. Twin States Harley-Davidson® also offers premium editions. These include the more powerful Special, the more powerful and full-dressed Limited and the performance-oriented ST in addition to the factory-custom CVO™ models.
Updates for the 2023 Model Year
The previous model year was a big one for the Grand American Touring family as we saw some fundamental updates, such as the addition of the electronically linked dynamic braking. The changes are more subtle this year, including refinement to the infotainment software and the optional RDRS suite. For this model in particular, you can now choose between Atlas Silver Metallic and Redline Red if you don’t want Vivid Black, and you can also choose ABS as an option separate from the RDRS suite.
Performance & Ride Characteristics
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® near Manchester is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 V-Twin engine. It provides ample performance for the average rider, but those who want more can opt for a Screamin’ Eagle upstage kit or one of the premium models that include the 114 or 117 in their standard equipment. What sets this model apart from many other tourers in the lineup is its frame-mounted fairing—often referred to as a shark nose. It also has an infotainment system, a passenger seat, floorboards and saddlebags but no Tour-Pak.

Riders who’d like a Tour-Pak and passenger backrest can add it after the fact, or you can upgrade to the Limited and get it now. Likewise, take a closer look at the Special, Limited or CVO™ models if you think there’s a chance you may want more power down the line.
